Please note! We have added a page with schedule updates, transitioning to online class and coaching modalities (Zoom and others), and need-to-know reference info to support community coping during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic situation: http://www.yoganirvanastudio.com/covid-19-updates/

Look for this the door on our Tempe studio on Jentilly (Suite B-8, on the northeast interior side of the building.) (PLEASE NOTE! Ahcnages to the schedule and teaching mode beginning March 16, 2020 In an abundance of caution, and to support the health and safety of our staff and community, we have temporarily suspended all F2F activities at the YNS studio. Our classes, workshops and YTT cohorts are migrating to online platforms as of 3/16/2020. The best practices for this are evolving, and we appreciate your patience. Opportunities for 1:1 coaching are still available, facilitated via zoom/phone. Thank you for your patience and support during this challenging time. We look forward to reconvening in the studio as soon as it’s safe to do so!)

Our Story: Yoga Nirvana Studio (YNS)

YNS was founded 11 years ago in Tempe, AZ by Jim Keegan. The physical location of the studio is near the corner of Rural Road and Broadway in Tempe, AZ, on Jentilly lane, near ASU.

We’re committed to embracing our local community, and regularly engage in activities and partnerships that benefit local schools and businesses, and allow us to offer our students benefits that reach beyond the walls of our studio.
The “new normal” of self-isolation and social distancing, however temporary, has definitely been a disruption, and we’re committed to navigating it as well as possible, and in being a resource and lifeline for as many in our community as possible. In times of crisis, it definitely take a village to get through. And we’re in it together.
We will be posting regular updates on the website (http://www.yoganirvanastudio.com/covid-19-updates/)  and supplementing with announcements/news blasts (constant contact-generated e-newsletter) as we transition to teaching classes and coaching online! We’re excited by the possibilities, and committed to doing all we can to keep everyone healthy and sane during this challenging time. Making the transition from F2F to online a learning curve for all of us, and we welcome your input, support, feedback, and suggestions during this shift!
We know how to have a good time. We know what we’re doing, but we don’t need to take ourselves too seriously. Some days, you just have to turn up the stereo. But overall, and perhaps most importantly, the atmosphere here at Yoga Nirvana supports learning and community building.
In a typical week at Yoga Nirvana Studio (YNS), you could take Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Yin, Acu-Gong, AND Mindfulness/meditation classes. You can find schedule details about our classes and workshops on our MindBody site: http://bit.ly/YNSMindBodyStudio.
YNS is recognized for excellence in teaching, and frequently host workshops and clinics to strengthen and deepen your asana practice, your creativity, and your spirit as a whole. We also have a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program (see our website, http://yoganirvanastudio.com, for more information about YTT).
We believe yoga is for everyone, and strive to make it affordable for all. Our class and “yoga vacation” packages offer the best value in town, and we offer specials that benefit those new to YNS studio (“new students” of yoga), college students, teachers, and military personnel. Not ready to commit to a class pass? Just visiting town? No problem. Join us for a class. You can drop in whenever you like, or take a cash-only “community class.”
We welcome you to Yoga Nirvana Studio, and encourage you to join us for a class, or come and meet the kula (family/community) at one of our social events, or on a week-long seasonal getaway organized to balance fun and mindfulness (vacations with a yoga theme: winter at a ski resort, spring in the tropical beach, late summer at Martha’s Vineyard, etc.).
Community. Commitment to strong yogic educational foundation. And fun. What are you waiting for? Grab your mat and get down here! We look forward to meeting you!
