I subscribe to the philosophy that “Although attempting to bring about world peace through internal transformation of the individual is difficult, it is the only way.”(H.H. The Dalai Lama) This world view motivates my practice as a yogi, and my work as a massage therapist.
My introduction to yoga came in 2004 as part of my studies in massage therapy school, and brought with it a revelation that changed my life and motivates my practice to this day. Growing up, I struggled with severe asthma, and as a result, never envisioned my own life as one that could be centered on physical activity and wellness. In yoga, I learned about the integration of movement and breath, and the result was transformative and inspiring.
I am passionate about sharing the healing practice of yoga with others, and completed my 200 hour teacher training at Yoga Nirvana in 2017. More than ever, I firmly believe that anyone can practice yoga, and that my role as an instructor is to help those in my classes explore and find what works best for them individually.
I hope you’ll join me in my all-levels practice on your own journey of discovery!
