My yoga practice started in 2014 when my roommate suggested we both purchase a month-long yoga pass. During the first class, I didn’t know what was sweat and what was tears. However, something was triggered inside that made me want more. I kept showing up to test the limits of my body while receiving bits of yogic philosophy along the way. I knew then that I wanted this yoga to be a part of my life.
About a year later, my studio practice came to a halt when I fell ill – not only with mononucleosis (yes, mono) but strep throat. I was sick for a couple of months and attempted to get back into a routine but didn’t truly find my way back to regular yoga practice again until 2017. It was then I made the decision to take YNS’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training.
At my day job I enjoy being the gal my coworkers go to when they have aches and pains from sitting at a desk 40+ hours every week. And when I’m not practicing yoga myself or instructing students, you can catch me at the movies or dancing at groovy venues around the valley!
