In January of 2015, I was looking to change up my workout. I had been to a few yoga classes at my gym but I wanted something that included mind and spirit along with the physical exercise.

I found myself at Yoga Nirvana, and that’s where I started my yoga journey.

Over the last 30 years I’ve been a professional pilot, which has also offered me the opportunity to help others learn to fly. In fact, I’ve found that teaching others is probably the most rewarding and fun part of that vocation!

In the Summer of 2018, Jim Keegan announced upcoming YNS Yoga Teacher Training cohort, and I saw it as an opportunity to combine my love of teaching with my love of the yogic journey I’m on. I completed my RYT 200 training in May of 2019, and my hope is that through teaching yoga, I’ll be able to help others find the kind of healing that I have found along my path.

Part of the personal philosophy I bring to class is best summed up by a quote from the translation of the Bhagavad Gita by Juan Mascaro:

Contrary to the law of matter where to give more means to have less, in the law of love the more one gives the more one has.
